Young Eagles - EAA Chapter 856

Launched in 1992, the Young Eagles program has dedicated 30 years to giving youth ages 8–17 their first free ride in an airplane.

Young Eagles first flight is completely free and opens up kids to aviation. Chapter members offer flights to young people at events where the EAA Young Eagles Program is in place. We also try to accommodate youngsters at other times.

Every year the chapter selects applicants to send to EAA's Air Academy in Oshkosh, WI. Students spend a week getting a hands-on experience with flying and working on aircraft. Interested students can submit an application along with a letter explaining why they'd like to be selected to attend.
